Research Interests   1) Use of plant natural products as pesticides 2) Use of biological control agents to manage plant acari 3) Elevate plants' own immunity against pathogenic fungi and bacteria through the application of low molecular weight chemical inducers

Research Projects

• 2021 – Present: The principalinvestigator of the research project titled “Pesticides and the future of food security in Egypt: bee products from newly reclaimed lands as a model” funded by the Science Technology and Development Fund (STDF).

• 2015 - 2020: Interuniversity Learning in Higher Education on Advanced Land Management (ILHAM-EC). Co-Funded by the Erasmus+ Progreamme of the European Union.

• 2016-2018: Work toward the accreditation of the "Pesticide Residue Analysis and Toxicity Laboratory" Funded by Project Managment Unit (PMU), Ministry of Higher Education and Damanhour University.

• 2013 - Present: Field evaluation (bioassay) of new insecticides against insect pests attacking tomato including fruit borer, Tuta absoluta, and leafminers. Plant Protection Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Damanhour University, Egypt. Funded by Ministry of Agriculture, Egypt.

• 1997 - 2004: Evaluation of the efficiency of pesticides on cotton pests. Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology Department, Faculty of Agriculture (Damanhour), Alexandria University, Funded by Egypt.Ministry of Agriculture, Egypt.
