Damanhour University Council expresses gratitude to the political

leadership for issuing Republican Decree No. 244 of 2025,

establishing Damanhour National University

Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees, President of Damanhour University, chaired the university’s regular council meeting, attended

by council members, to discuss several topics related to the educational and research process. The university president

extended his gratitude to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for

the issuance of Republican Decree No. 244 of 2025, establishing Damanhour National University. The university will be

located in El-Bustan district of Dalengat city in Al Beheira Governorate. The academic programs will focus on modern

sciences and advanced scientific disciplines, preparing youth for the labor market.

Trabees praised the smooth progress of examinations across the university’s faculties, emphasizing the importance of

implementing all necessary measures to ensure a suitable exam environment, particularly for students with disabilities,

to achieve educational justice and equality within examination settings.

The council also reviewed a report on the university’s key activities across various sectors during May. Additionally,

the University Development Projects Management Unit presented an overview of the Smart Complaints System,

designed to facilitate direct communication through information and communication technology.
