Damanhour University receives hearing and visual Technological
Support Devices from the Ministry of Higher Education to enhance
operational efficiency at the Services Center for Students
with Disabilities in the University
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees, President of Damanhour University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid El-Sayed,
Executive Director of the Services Center for Students with Disabilities, Damanhour University announced the receipt of new
assistive devices for individuals with hearing and visual disabilities from the Ministry of Higher Education. Trabees emphasized
the university’s commitment to providing the highest quality services to students with disabilities. He praised the center’s role
in fostering an inclusive educational environment that encourages participation in various university activities and supports
innovation among those students. Dr. Abdel Hamid emphasized that the center received new equipment that included:
Screen reader & Screen magnification software for blind users.
Braille stapler, Braille display with keyboard and Braille printer.
Audio book player and AI-powered reader.
Paper heating device for producing tactile graphics for the blind.
Williams Sound Personal FM Listening System to enhance hearing in public spaces or classrooms.
Series 400 RCH system used in conferences.
Dual-channel Digi-loop hearing loop amplifier.
