Planting 150 Seedlings at the Village of Kom El-Shoqaf in Hosh Issa

 

during Damanhour University's Comprehensive Development Convoy

 

 

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees - President of Damanhour University,

Prof. Dr. Mona Mabrouk - Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs,

a comprehensive development convoy was launched today at the village of Kom El-Shoqaf in Hosh Issa Center

in cooperation with the foundation of (A Decent Life). The Faculties of Nursing, Science, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture and Education

participated in the convoy. Within Damanhour University's keenness to participate in the presidential initiative (100 Million Trees)

to reduce the risks of global warming and increase green spaces, the university provided and planted one hundred fifty seedlings of fruitful trees.

The health convoy at the Faculty of Nursing conducted a health survey to measure blood pressure and detect diabetes for (110) citizens

and health education for (60) women about breast cancer and (40) women about caring for pregnant women and children.

Fifty villagers were trained in first aid, explaining cases of suffocation, wounds, fractures and burns and how to deal with them.

The science convoy conducted the necessary medical analyses for nearly 100 citizens for free.

The members of the convoy of the Faculty of Dentistry educated citizens and children on how to maintain dental health and cleanliness.

As for the convoy of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, it conducted veterinary examinations on many cows, buffaloes, sheep and goats.
