Damanhour University organizes a Comprehensive Community Service Convoy

at the Village of Ali bin Abi Talib in Hosh Issa as part of its Participation in

the (New Beginning) and (100 Million Trees) Initiatives

 

 

 

In continuation of Damanhour University's active participation in the presidential initiatives for human development, and under

the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees - President of Damanhour University, and Prof. Dr. Mona El-Sayed -

Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the sector launched

a comprehensive development service convoy to Ali bin Abi Talib village in Hosh Issa to provide services to the villagers

with the participation of the Faculties of Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Science, Agriculture, Education,

and Education for Early Childhood.

One-hundred-fifty fruit tree seedlings provided by the university were planted to mitigate the risks of global warming.

A health convoy measured blood pressure and screened for diabetes among 65 citizens. They also provided health education

on breast cancer detection methods to 32 women and taught them how to perform breast self-examinations.

Additionally, they offered family planning education to another group of 32 women and provided care information for pregnants

and children to the same number of women. Overall, health education was provided to 45 citizens.

The veterinary convoy examined cows, buffaloes, and sheep, administering necessary treatments. Members of the awareness convoy

from the Faculty of Dentistry examined 25 citizens and children, educating them on maintaining dental health and hygiene.

Furthermore, the convoy from the Faculty of Science educated over 70 mothers and children on how to combat winter illnesses

related to climate change. Lastly, members of the educational awareness convoy from the Faculties of Education and

Education for Early Childhood raised awareness among 95 citizens about the dangers of illegal immigration and the importance of literacy.
