Biography of Reem Bassiouny Mahmoud El Lassy 

Reem Bassiouny Mahmoud El Lassy is Assistant Professor of Community Health Nursing at the Damanhour University, Egypt.  Reem has been a clinical educator in Community Health Nursing Department, Faculty of Nursing-Alexandria University since 1991. Her Master Degree was in of Community Health Nursing in 1999 and obtained her PhD in 2010. She was the head of Community Health Nursing department in 2015 and active Vice Dean of graduates studies and research of faculty of nursing Damanhour University since 2016. Her research interests include community health nursing, epidemiology, and gerontological nursing. She has participated in many projects as the training program for the African Nurses about primary health care, Faculty of Nursing, Alexandria University in collaboration with NORAD and EFTAC, 2000, 2002. She also participated as monitor for Vaccination program In Egypt in collaboration with WHO from 2002 until 2009, Consecutive campaigns, at all Egypt governorates. In addition to her participation in the training program for nurses in El Menia and El Suess Governorates about family medicine, Ministry Of Health, International Education, USAID and Faculty of Nursing, Alexandria, 27/6/2003. Also, participated in the training program for nurses in Qena Governorate about family medicine, Ministry Of Health, International Education, USAID and Faculty of Nursing, Alexandria, 2-7/2006, and 4/2006. Furthermore, participated in training program of health care services for Arab republic of Libyan trainers 20-7-2008 / 14-8- 2008. She has published more than 18 articles in English languages in the field of community health nursing, epidemiology, and gerontological nursing. Also, participated in national and International conferences and attended many workshops and training courses. She has participated in many community campaigns in El Beheira Governorates. Reem is widely experienced nurse educator and has supervised many students for graduates, and doctoral degrees. She teaches courses such as community health nursing, epidemiology, nutrition during life cycle, child health diseases, child and environmental health, and gerontological nursing and more.
